What to Expect

How to WellSpa Safely

 

  1. Scheduling: Appointments must be requested online or scheduled by phone. We are currently open 10am to 6pm Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and every other Saturday (1st & 3rd). We will adjust in response to the ongoing pandemic.
  2. Online Forms: A link to our new liability form will be emailed or sent via text once you are scheduled. 
  3. Payments. It has been a standard practice of ours to request a card on file when scheduling all appointments. Once on file, payments for products and gratuities can be added to your tickets without having to use our credit card terminal. Please note there is now a 3% convenience fee for all card transactions. 
  4. Missed appointments and late arrivals. No-shows and late cancellations will be charged full service price for missed appointments. Please manage your time wisely, as we have limited appointments available and must enforce our late-cancellation policies. Please notify us at least 12 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. If you are running late for your appointment, please give us a courtesy call so that your Practitioner can adjust accordingly. We want to ensure that you receive the best service possible with the time allotted. Please note: traffic is usually heavy in or around the Thornton Road area, as well as the Atlanta area.
  5. Masks are mandatory and must be worn coming into WellSpa and into the common areas. Masks must be worn during massages, except for when face down. You are not required to wear a mask during a facial. If you are unable to wear one due to any existing medical conditions, this will be considered a contraindication and you will need to be rescheduled for a later and safer time. Masks and/or face shields are mandatory for all Staff Members.
  6. Temps. Clients' temperatures will be taken upon arrival. As customary in our industry, we are to deny service to anyone who has a temperature above 99. 
  7. Arrival. Please arrive no more than 10 minutes prior to your appointment.  You will receive a text message on the day of your appointment that allows you to 2-way text with us. Once you arrive, please text us that you have arrived. Remain in your car until you receive a text to enter. 
  8. Entering. Once you enter, your temperature will be taken; you will be given hand sanitizer or the option to wash your hands; then escorted to your treatment room by your Therapist.
  9. Guests. Only clients who have appointments will be allowed in. Please do not bring guests or children.
  10. Hand Sanitizer is provided in every treatment room and throughout the spa.
  11. Retail Items are still available for sale. Please let your Practitioner or Front Desk personnel know if you would like to test a product. 
  12. Highly touched items, such as magazines, will no longer be available. Brochures are available for download on our website. Click here for a copy of our brochure. 
  13. Hugs. It has always been a standard for our Team to hug and shake hands with our clients. Unfortunately during this time, it is unsafe to do so. Air hugs are the new norm for now and will be gladly accepted and given.


Cleaning, Disinfecting and Sanitizing

Cleaning, disinfection, and sanitizing are not all the same. These three processes are different from one another. We perform all three.


14. Spa cleanliness. In addition to our added new daily protocols, professional cleaning crews will be scheduled to come during our closed hours to thoroughly disinfect the spa. We have reopened on a limited schedule which has allowed us to get used to the new protocols, make adjustments, and ensure we take our time learning, practicing, and improving our practices.


15. In the therapy room, every surface that has been touched — such as bottles, knobs and light switches — will be consistently cleaned and disinfected after every client. 


16. All tools and other items that are used during treatments (hot stones) are cleaned, sanitized, then disinfected. Our nail, skin, and detox services have disposable one-use supplies available for every client.
